It’s only 8:30 in the morning, I have not been up for that long and I have already laughed, cried, got to listen to Aiden sing you are my sunshine & row row your boat, got a text from the bestie saying she got quite the surprise this morning at her door just yet again proving how small this world, nothing like your child’s father showing up at your best friend’s house to install their cable & then read one of the best blog posts that I have read in a very long time.
Fototails Photography posted a blog titled “a letter on my door step. portraits are more then paper.” Take a moment to read that letter before reading the rest of this post. I promise you won’t regret it.
We just had family pictures taken in October by an amazing photographer that took family pictures for a friend of mine. She did an amazing job. She captured moments that I want to forever cherish & she even got pictures of all of my kids looking at her & smiling! That is a huge success in itself. Those few hours in the cold & wind – not the best for pictures but you would never know it looking at the pictures gave us memories that we will always be able to hold onto. Sure there are things we could have used that same money on, but none of those things would have given us time together as a family without the interruptions of life, the first family pictures taken since Aiden was only a couple of days old, or the other million things it gave us. See some of the amazing invaluable moments that we will now always have.
Tomorrow is my first day back at work in a week. I am going to miss being able to stay in comfy clothes & have all of the time in the world to make a yummy dinner. So it will be back to meal planning. Tonight I am making some very delicious and super easy BBQ chicken! It is very difficult to find a BBQ sauce that does not have corn it in – if you have a recipe for one though please send it to me. So I am planning on grilling a chicken breast for Aiden & we will also be having some cheddar & bacon mashed potatoes! So excited for dinner tonight!
Incase you busy momma’s & daddy’s reading this post right now need an easy idea for dinner then try this one out! I will also try to post new recipes as I try them out! So check back often! If you have recipes you would like to share feel free to post them!
Easy Crock Pot BBQ Chicken
4-6 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts – You can throw them in frozen if you would like too.
1 bottle BBQ sauce (I use sweet baby ray’s)
1/4 c vinegar
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 – 1 tsp. garlic powder
Place chicken in crock pot. Mix BBQ sauce with all ingredients listed. Pour sauce over the chicken breasts and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours.
